Killian walked into my new voodoo shop late one night with an urgent request - he needed me to heal his friend. Only I know absolutely nothing about voodoo, or healing. I’m just trying to start a new life with what little family I have left after my dream of becoming a star on Broadway went up in flames.
Literally.
At first glance, he was an average looking guy with a European flair. Nothing outside the ordinary in the city of New Orleans. But despite his nerdy-boy attire, Killian was most definitely all man. And as his black eyes made their way up my body to my face, the look reflected within them wasn’t the least bit tame.
More like predatory…

I expected her to cast me down the moment I walked through her door. But I had no choice. One of my own was dying from a witch’s curse, and only another witch could undo the spell. However, Lizzy was not what I’d expected to find. Stunned by her beauty and overwhelmed by her scent, I burned with thirst until the blood raced through my veins and my body tightened with need.
But with one taste, she calmed the beast within me as the truth flooded my wicked soul. The witch is MINE. She is the pulse that feeds my immortal life and the bearer of my death. Taking Lizzy as my mate will bring about the end of my coven’s uneasy truce with the witches.
Leaving her will mean my demise…

My name is Killian Rice, and I am a vampire. Come Into The Dark with this new series by L.E. Wilson, and enter her Deathless Night. A world of immortals with only one weakness: The witches who can destroy us…

L.E. Wilson writes Paranormal Romance starring intense alpha males and the women who are fearless enough to tame them—for the most part anyway. ;) In her novels you'll find smoking hot scenes, a touch of suspense, a bit of gore, and multifaceted characters, all working together to combine her lifelong obsession with the paranormal and her love of romance.

Her writing career came about the usual way: on a dare from her loving husband. Little did they know just one casual suggestion would open a box of worms (or words as the case may be) that would forever change their lives.

Lattes and music are a necessary part of her writing process, and sometimes you'll find her typing away at her favorite Starbucks. She walks two miles to get there, to make up for all of those coffees.

Night of the Vampire is an immersive paranormal romance that follows Killian and Lizzy, a vampire and witch who work together to try to save a friend from an evil curse. Killian is desperate to save his friend from a deadly curse when he enters a local voodoo shop in search of help. He doesn’t expect to be drawn to Lizzy, the beautiful witch who owns the shop. Lizzie hasn’t fully realized her power and doesn’t know how she can help Killian and his friend. However, she can’t resist the feelings she has for the mysterious Killian. Will they save Killian’s friend in time? Will Lizzy embrace her powers? And can they resist their feelings for each other when fate seems to want them together?

The romance between Killian and Lizzy is chemistry-charged and steamy. They have an intense relationship, and Killian knows from the first meeting that Lizzy is special. Lizzy, however, takes some persuasion. Because of some terrible happenings in her past, Lizzy hesitates to let Killian get close. She doesn’t trust him or herself, and she questions his secrecy and motives. I like that Killian has to work a bit to win Lizzy over. She doesn’t fall at his feet like one would expect when facing a sexy, enigmatic, alpha vampire. I also like that, though Killian is a possessive and dominant leader who is used to getting what he wants without question, he respects and supports Lizzy’s independence enough to let her make her own decisions.

Another highlight of the story is the strong messages about the bonds of friendship and family. Killian and his clan are so loyal toward each other, and their trust in each other, even when they don’t always agree, is implicit. They have a long and complex history, and they value each other. Killian, in particular, is motivated by his love of and loyalty to his friends, and he often puts himself at risk to protect others. Though he has one friend in this close-knit group that has resentments, their unbreakable bond is always present. I love that Lizzie finds a family in Killian and his clan, which is what she had been missing for most of her life.

I enjoyed this unique and well-paced story, and I’m curious to find out more about Lizzie and Killian’s world. Who is targeting them? Will Lizzie and Killian ever catch the evil forces that threaten them? Will Lizzie connect more with her Aunt and work with the coven to develop her skills? As this is the first novel in the series, I have a feeling all of this and more will be explored in future books. Thanks so much to Netgalley, Everblood Publishing, and the author for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.

Night of the Vampire had the potential to be a great story as the premise was quite interesting -an ongoing feud between witches and vampires. I truly enjoyed the mystery surrounding the novel and the diversity and complexity of the backstories of certain characters.

There were a couple of things that threw me off with the main characters, in particular, the fact that Killian is a dick and a killer, and kind of a psycho, tbh his only saving grace could be that he is a Vampire. While this bad boy behavior would normally endear me to the character, I do not think Killian had enough depth as a character, to pull it off.

On the flipside we have Lizzie, a traumatic past and skeletons in her closet, she wants a fresh start. I understand and empathize with her but her reactions to situations were quite confusing, your family admits to you that you’re a witch- you throw a tantrum and get upset stating they are crazy, but you can create fire in the palm of your hands and burned down a building? How is that making any sense ???????

Night of the vampire had all the great elements for a killer series but the writing felt disjointed with tidbits strewn all over instead of one streamlined story. At certain bits I could not help but roll my eyes at the abundance of vampire cliches everywhere- soul mates, blood lust, it felt like a collection of ever vampire trait instead of trying to create a unique or fresh spin.

Despite all this, I think the secondary characters have potential, especially Kenya, and I would read further into the series to see how it progresses.

Thank you to the author and NetGalley for providing me with an arc. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

LOVE LOVE LOVE. In case that didn't make things clear enough, I loved this series starter from L.E. Wilson. I mean, I've loved all her books, but there's something extra special about her vampire books, and this one is especially fantastic. Killian is my type of vampire hero--a little dark, a little damaged, and entirely too sexy for his own good. And Lizzy is a heroine that paranormal romance lovers can really relate to--smart, brave, and ready to do whatever it takes to protect those she loves. Long-story-short, this is a read that I can't recommend highly enough. Book 2 CAN NOT come quickly enough for me!!! (Also: For fans of The Originals, Killian sometimes gives me Klaus vibes. Yummy.)

Full disclosure: I received an ARC free of charge and that in no way influenced my review.

NIGHT OF THE VAMPIRE is the first book in the Deathless Night - Into the Dark series. Killian is a vampire, the leader of a coven... sort of. Bless him, Killian is desperate for companionship but has gone about it the wrong way. His best friend now only tolerates him. All that is by the by though as they try to save another member, a little sister figure to them, Kenya. Killian thinks she has been cursed by the witches. He finds out there is a new witch in town and tries to convince her to help Kenya before the witches can turn her against him. Only trouble is, Lizzy is the niece of the High Priestess so things just took a complicated turn...

This is the start of a series, so there is a lot left unknown. Killian and Lizzy get their HFN, but I can only keep my fingers crossed for the long term! Something is targeting the vampires, something the witches don't want to be involved with.

I thoroughly enjoyed Lizzy and Killian's story, especially how she made him work! I am hoping she will work with the witches in future books to develop her skill, as I think she will need it for whoever set fire to her apartment.

I also can't wait for Alex and Kenya's story, plus I'm hoping we get some more information on the overall story arc.

A brilliant introduction to the series that has left me wanting far more than what I got! Bring on book 2!

This was an exciting read, full of vampire lore, witch alliances, a mysterious curse and sizzling chemistry. Killian was all alpha, powerful and sexy as hell. Lizzy has had some rough patches, along with her quirky 'tricks', and a slew of family she knew nothing about. Everything comes to a head in New Orleans and I enjoyed the reading ride. Now to see what's in store for the next book, and maybe some more clues as to who the 'bad guy' is ;)

At first I was a bit skeptical as it kinda starts off a bit slow but once it picks up speed....oh my! I think this is the first story/book I've read where a supernatural being is actually getting sick! That part was like... wait a minute this is so contrary to everything you ever read....but then they "feel" the magic of it or at least explain it and your like oh OK. Just like always it's never good to assume things! Killian hear there's a witch in town that doesn't belong to resident witches so he decides to meet her and see if she could help. Upon entering the voodoo store though he feels something but brushes it aside and yes he can tell she's a witch, just not sure which kind and if she's associated with the home team. He gets to know her a bit and that feeling keeping drawing him back. He checks with her nightly to see if she changed her mind, however one night he goes by her house and smells fire. He scales the building only to find a magical fire bent on killing Lizzy. He gets her out of the apartment and of course her dog, Wiggles. He takes her to his home in the Quarter and she stays there for a lil bit. His coven is quite eclectic and at least one really really hates him.
After a bit Lizzy decides everyone it bat shit crazy and wants nothing but to run away, until she and Killian get more acquainted and decide to ask for help from the witches. Oh, that is after he force Lizzy to feed Kenya blood, but when Killian opens the vein for Kenya he gets a lil taste and ba-boom! That drop of blood tells him why he's been acting so weird and then he flips out because she's his fated mate!! He goes all neanderthal on everyone and theyre like "whoa dude what's up" but he won't say anything till Lizzy accepts it.
So the witches are brought to Kenya and they find out none of them cat the spell and head witch Judy doesn't recognize the magic, however the lone male witch does. He has an idea and they work with him and he does draw out the bad magic but I have feeling Aunt Judy will have questions of her own. Quite the disjointed group and there's poor Kenya, evidently the entire home team of witches really liked her and some random witch or warlock placed a nasty spell on her, it's make her wither and die, inch by inch!
Killian tries to give Lizzy what she wants and that's her freedom but until she actually leaves neither of them quite understand how deep they both feel for each other or what that "mate bond" will do. She comes back to find Killian quite ready to die and she confesses the feelings she had as she left town only to be drawn back.
Happy ending but hoping there is more, maybe a story for each vampire and witch???
Thank for the opportunity to read this book, soooooooooooooooooo thoroughly enjoyed it!!!

I'm hooked on the new series

Killian is head of the vampire coven in New Orleans. One of his vampires, Kenya, has been cursed by a witch and Killian believes it's one of the witches in his city. The vampires and witches don't mingle but he's desperate to help his friend. Lizzy is new in town. She left New York City and her dreams to take over a family business in New Orleans. She has no idea she's a witch but Killian senses her magic and is hopeful she can help Kenya. She doesn't trust him and senses there is something different and dangerous about him but she's also drawn to him. Her world is about to get rocked when she learns witches and vampires are real.

A book of 2 halves.

I really enjoyed the start of this book Vampire Killian walks into a voodoo shop in New Orleans looking for the new witch in town who can save the life of his friend from another witches curse. Enter Lizzy and her elderly dog Wiggles who not only hasn't got a clue what he is talking about also doesn't believe in magic. The relationship that develops between them is really interesting and a great read and then they discover that they are fated as mates. Lizzy obviously freaked out by this asserts her independence both from him and her aunt who happens to be high priestess of the family coven of witches.

This is where the book deviates and loses its magic. There has been building up about a historical war between the vampires and witches that is suddenly dropped with no further development. The biggest dissapointment though is plot that had been built through the first two thirds of the story about some danger to Lizzy and the vampires and the need for her to be protected when bam Lizzy and Killian have lots of spectacular sex, danger forgotten apparently and he tries to be noble and send her away to live her dream even though it may kill him. This to me felt like a huge chunk of the story had either been edited out or a second writer took over. The magical story building between the witches and vampires along with Killian and lizzy was just ended when the sex scenes started and that's when it went from great story to bonk fest. A few pages at the end setting up the next book and the story of the next character is unfortunately not enough to get me to read as this book left me feeling unsatisfied and that it was unfinished.

This book was provided to me by Xpresso Book Tours and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Ohhh this was bad. I read the whole book without DNFing it just because I was fascinated by this train wreck of a book. I can see that the author tried really hard to create a strong female lead who needs no man and a male lead whose hopeless without his woman, but boyyyyy this was a bad book.

Killian is not just overbearing and possessive like most vampires I've read about, he's a stalker, a maniac, his behaviour is unhealthy and toxic. I liked that Lizzy didn't believe in any of the magic and the vampires and didn't want to be with Killian for the whole book, but she did fuck him senseless... If you don't want him anywhere near you because he's just so MUCH then you also shouldn't be feeling very inclined to fuck him...

This book didn't make any sense at all. The romance was bad, there was no chemistry whatsoever. The side characters were awful. There was waaaay too much infodumping, but the important information was never given. The plot is just crap... Yeah, it's gonna be 1,5 stars for this disaster.

AWESOME Story 😁

This is the first book I've ever read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it 😃. As I was reading it though I realized that there must be more books written before and I was right 😉. So, now I'm going to start reading that beginning series and I hope that it's as good as this one 😊. Thanks L.E. I'll be checking out the beginning series AND reading the rest of this one. Can't wait 🤓.

This is a spin off from the deathless night series.
That book had vampires that had been cursed by a witch and vengeful vampire, and with the help of their mates (witches) they broke the curse.....

Killian’s coven has been cursed. And one of his coven is dying! He needs a witch, but as it was a witch that did this to Kenya, he needs either a new witch to the area, or he’s going to have to kidnap one (and if he does that, then it’s going to be hunting season on the vampires!)
Killian is the coven leader, turning his “family” of vampires over the years, some have been grateful, some haven’t!! But he would do it all again!!
The have a make strip club that they all work in, it earns them money and a way to get blood (plenty of willing hosts who want a private dance) no one dies, and everyone is happy, especially the witches!!

Lizzy isn’t a witch or a priestess, she’s an unemployed actor who runs a voodoo shop! It’s turning out to be a lucrative venture, especially in New Orleans, it’s not her first love (that’s the stage) but it pays the food on the table, and a roof over her head. Running from New York after a series of unexplained fires, and the last one costing her the career she dreamed of and nearly her life!!

I loved the previous books. And this proves that you can have a successful spin off series. (I’ve read a few series that have tried the spin off and route and failed!)

Like many of the last series, most of the women were unaware that they were witches! And it looks like Lizzy is going to be one of those characters. Her aunt informs her of this fact, and Lizzy has a hard time believing it.
And when her aunt reveals Linzy’s heritage to her, she’s sceptical at first, there is no way she’s a witch! Is there? And with Killian still asking for her help (which she’s been told not to give) Lizzy feels like she’s being pulled in two different directions!

Characters Jamal and Kenya are great (hoping they both a story) both had sad tales to tell Lizzy.
Jamal was a slave that was rescued and freed by Killian (but the turning of Jamal is causing friction between Killian and Jamal, even after all these years!
Dae, Elias, and Brogan are also in the coven, they work at the club (and I’m sure we will see plenty of these guys in the next books) aunt Judy (leader of the witches coven) Angel and Talin, Alex and Alice witches (Alex is warlock)
Getting the impression Angel doesn’t like Lizzy and nor does Talin.

There is a pact between the witches and vampires, the vampires provide the protection if the witches call on them, and the witches leave the vampires alone to feed. But someone is trying to destroy the pact they have by cursing Kenya!!

Do we see any old characters?

So is there a link like there was in the previous series? I’d say yes there is, the witches/warlock are all Moss witches (like the previous books) And that Vampire’s Coven all fell for the same family of witches/warlock.....

Can Lizzy help restore Kenya back to health? And is she really a witch?
Oh and someone is possibly targeting her!
And when Killian finally tastes Lizzy, we have the same reaction that the previous books had MINE!!!!

It’s an action packed story and I have a feeling it’s going to have some sort of bad guy in the background orchestrating it all!!

Being a fan of vampires and paranormal romance, I thought to myself that I absolutely had to read this title after reading its synopsis. The only negative point being the length of the synopsis.

The created universe revolves around vampires and witches and the story takes place in New Orleans. We discover several characters that we appreciate more or less.

Killian is the typical alpha male who is used to being obeyed and getting what he wants. At times he annoyed me but what do you expect, he's a vampire.

Lizzy will destabilize him but it works both ways. Everything she finds disturbs her and that's normal. I won't jump for joy either.

My reading was enjoyable although I wasn't as excited about the story as I expected. My interest was more on a secondary character. Hope it will be different when her tome arrives.

I discovered the pen of L.E. Wilson and that this series is part of the same universe as "Deathless Night" which I intend to read since the first volume is already in my to read list.

The second book in the series will focus on Kenya, which I really appreciate. I noted it in my wishlist and I intend to not miss it.

New Orleans, witches, vampires, magic curses, awakening powers, and fated mates. Gah! Gimme, gimme, gimme! Night of the Vampire reminded me of some of my fav paranormal series' and I was all about it!
description

Killian Rice is desperate to find a cure for his long time friend who has been cursed. His desperation leads him to seek the help of the new-to-town Voodoo shop owner, hopefully, before the local witches bring her under their wings and teach her the rules. The intriguing woman is nothing like what he expects, full of power but unlike any witch he's ever met, and something about her has him reacting like he's a fledgling again.

Lizzie recently moved back to New Orleans to escape the mess of her life in New York. Her aunt gave her a job managing a kitschy Voodoo shop down in the quarter. Just when she's starting to get her bearings in the new city, a handsome stranger visits her shop and wants to employ her services to help a friend. He seems to believe not only that she can help but that she seems to have the power to break curses. Even if I did think that magic was real, it's probably more likely that I'm the one that's cursed.

Night of the Vampire was filled with so many of my favorite troupes it was like curling up in your favorite little reading spot with a warm cup of tea and your comfiest blanket. The world-building was familiar and the storyline touched on many familiar paranormal stories... and I'm so okay with all of it!

I wasn't quite sure of Killian. He was a bit of an enigma. He was a typical broody, dark character suffering the ennui from having lived a long vampire life. He was surrounded by his coven? pack? group of fellow bloodsuckers? people but he was the leader and thus a bit apart from them all. He was brash at times and bossy alpha but then he acted sensual and sexy, and then pig-headed "my way" at others. I don't know, I just didn't get a firm grip on him. Lizzie didn't take the whole discovery of magic or vampires or the fated mate's thing very well. She kind of frustrated me to be quite honest. And, the chemistry between Lizzie and Killian wasn't 100% for me, I just didn't truly feel it. but I'm a picky so and so But, when they did get *together* it was pretty hot. so... meh, take what I say with a grain of salt.

I loved the fact that the vamps ran a male strip club as their way to feed. I need to know more about the whole vamp group. And I absolutely want to know more about the witches and what they did. Normally witches aren't depicted as been more powerful than vamps, so it is such a point of intrigue for me. The "bad guy" is never revealed and it is killing me with curiosity. There are definitely so many questions yet to be answered. Argh! I'm def on the hook for #2.

Back again, folks with another ARC tonight! This one had me interested. It’s cover art is lovely! And the plot line was unusual enough that it was decent by my standards. But, the whole attraction/bonding somewhat instantly romantic trope that appeared from the start threw me off and it definitely bothered me. Now, I have been known to be interested in an instant love romantic trope scenario from time to time, but unfortunately, this wasn’t one of those for me. My interest didn’t hold for very long, and it started out being decent, but then I felt like it kinda tanked as it went on. It was very…typical vampire romance sort of thing. The kind you’d expect. Now, I have been known to be really picky with my paranormal romance choices for reviews, so it doesn’t surprise me really that in my circumstances, I wasn’t wowed by it. Others may have been. But I suppose I wouldn’t call myself a “typical” romance reader/reviewer. I often look for the author that can take the ordinary, to extraordinary and then take it up ten notches from there. For me, I felt this was ordinary. It was good. But for me, it wasn’t to my taste. I’d give it a 3/5 stars on the Goodreads scale because it started decent, but just didn’t carry through with what I think was intended. Well, that’s my take on it. Until next time, happy reading. -Caroline

Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of NIGHT OF THE VAMPIRE (Book 1 of the Deathless Night series) by L.E. Wilson in exchange for an honest review. Killian is the leader of the New Orleans coven of vampires, and they had negotiated an armed détente with the New Orleans coven of witches. However, one of his vampires has been witch cursed. Only a witch can prevent the vampire’s death, but how can he approach the local coven when one of them must have cast the curse. Lizzy moved to New Orleans to escape a bad situation in New York and to manage her aunt’s voodoo shop. Killian sees her as the most likely solution to his problem; he senses that she’s a witch and can find no ties to the local coven. When Killian approaches Lizzy with his demands that she use her powers to save his vampire, Lizzy is confused. Lizzy isn’t a witch and finds the fact that she’s attracted to a nutjob disturbing. After meeting Lizzy, Killian decides that, in addition to breaking the curse, Lizzy will be his.

It was okay. I really didn’t like Killian and thought he was a horrible person. Lizzy wasn’t so bad, but Killian seemed to deserve anything negative that was coming his way. I recommend this to people who enjoy romances like WUTHERING HEIGHTS.

**I received a copy of Night of the Vampire from Xpresso Book Tours and Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. My opinions expressed below are mine and not solicited in any way**

Night of the Vampire by L. E. Wilson is the first book in the authors Deathless Night-Into the Dark series. How on earth did I not know about this author? This book is fantastic on so many levels and totally worth all 5 Stars I've given it. Plus there's a geriatric dog named Sir Wiggle butt who can resist him? I can't wait to read Kenya and Alex's story.

Lizzy Smith has come home to New Orleans to run her family's voodoo shop unbeknownst to her she's really a witch by birth. So when Killian Rice comes in on Halloween little does she know that she'll meet a coven of vampires who need her help as Kenya is very ill. But can she help them when she doesn't even know how?

Killian Rice has lived a long life so when Kenya falls ill (Very unusual for a vampire) he's willing to ask Lizzy to help cure her. Can he convince her that she's actually a real witch by birth? After all Killian's pact with the coven is very tenuous truce at best but when they have to all come together to find out who has placed the curse on her can they put aside everything? But when someone sets Lizzy's apartment on fire Killian will be there to rescue her and Wiggles.

How will it all end and come to a dramatic conclusion? I guess you'll just have to read the book because I loved and highly recommend reading the story.

Four and a Half Stars!!!!
This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Night of the Vampire by L.E. Wilson is the first book in the Into The Dark series. I really enjoyed this read. L.E. Wilson wrote this book in pictures! The writing was crisp and animated the characters in a way that I felt I could reach out and touch them. Strong and defined, the secondary cast was clamoring to tell their secrets throughout Killian and Lizzy's story. A great first peek at the night life of New Orleans and the legendary spats between the witches and vampires. While there is some resolution in this story, this book does set you up, in a gentle way, for the next book. Be prepared for a steamy (Mature Readers Only) visit to the Purple Fang.

This honest and voluntary review was made possible by reading a copy through Booksprout.

I wanted to like this book it started off well and I was intrigued by the dynamics between the vampires and witches however this book gave little time to character development. It felt like a setup for a bigger story with little time spent on the characters it was supposed to focus on. There are many steamy scenes between our characters and while I am a big fan of sexual interactions between main characters there needs to be more to a developing relationship than sex.
There was no resolution to the mystery in the book nor any hint as to who was the villain. A story needs some resolution to provide an enjoyable reading experience. This is not a book I would recommend and I have no interest in following on with the series.

Killian Rice went into the voodoo shop asking for help. One of his people (vampire) was dying from a witch’s curse, and only another witch could undo the spell. He could tell she was a witch, but not what kind. She may not even be able to help him. But he had to try. Lizzy turns out to be his fated mate. With the troubles (I almost said “bad blood” – oops) between witches and vampires, this is not a healthy choice to make. Will Lizzy accept her vampire mate? Or will she try to leave him – and with what consequences?

For some reason, the characters in this story didn’t pull me in as I would have expected. Since this is only the first book, I would be interested in reading the next one to see if this was just an “off night” or just not a good series for me.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. This book was a lot of fun to read and I have read that vampires and witches have been enemies for generations. I had to see how this author put their spin on it. I was not disappoint. I love Lizzy she is fun character and she learns a lot about herself in this book. It is the first in a new series. Killian was amazing as well and he came to Lizzy for help even knows that he should avoid her as she is a witch who did not know she has powers. I love the way there connection develops. It is kind of nice and alluring. I can't wait to see how the rest of the series goes.

I think I'm reeeeeally going to love this series!
Great storyline with a few plot twists to keep it from being like all the others in this trope.

The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole story, I found myself in love with not only the characters but also the world that was created.

The attitudes toward the events that are happening make the story even richer and the characters more relatable.

If you love alpha males than this is a must read book for you!!!This was an awesome book that I really enjoyed. The story and characters grabbed me from the beginning and I couldn't stop reading. I loved characters watching them grow together, they were well written and went well together. I found this book amazing with great word building making me feel apart of the story and watching it unfold in front of me. A definite must read for any fan and I can't wait to read more from this author!!!

Lizzy moves back to New Orleans to run the shop her aunt left her. Killian was the leader of a group of vampires in New Orleans and one of them had been cursed and was dying by a witch. Lizzie was a witch but didn’t know it. Killian couldn’t understand his draw to Lizzie when he approached her to help Kenya with the curse that was on her. Killian realized that Lizzie was his soulmate and had a wild and interesting time convincing Lizzie that they belonged together. Fun read

I liked this book. It was filled with hot vampires, bad*** witches, a steamy romance and a really spellbinding curse. Lizzy was a great heroine. She was smart, skilful, brave, but also kind and loving and relatable. Killian, I didn’t enjoy him as much as a lot of other readers did. I found him a little bit too intense.

It’s a great paranormal read for the seasoned reader who loves magic, vampires, witches and dark curses, but also a reader just coming into the darker fantasy/ paranormal genre.

There is some swearing used in the book and steamy scenes. This may not be appropriate for younger audiences.

I was given an e copy of this book thanks to L.E. Wilson, Everblood Publishing, and NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Vampire’s and Witches do not mix so when Killian walks into a voodoo shop looking for a witch to help heal his friend he didn’t expect to find his mate. Lizzy owns a voodoo shop when one night a handsome man comes in and asks for her help he knows that Lizzy is a witch but he doesn’t know what kind. There is so much more going on in this story I enjoyed it but there was something missing I don’t know if it was the characters chemistry or that it needed more action but it’s a great read.
