With the holiday preparations in full gear, I had only a moment but I can't go for too long without reading something. Breath of Christmas was exactly what I needed. It's a short burst of holiday wonder, a story of love and of magic. Just what this time of year calls for! I love Mooney's writing style and definitely will look for more by this author.

Breath of Christmas is a perfect description of this short burst of holiday magic. As my first read by Linda Mooney, I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of the story and the enormous content in such a quick read. This author has definitely found a place in my heart and her books will certainly be on my future TBR list. Happiness and melancholy go hand in hand in this Christmas read, but it is one of the most engaging stories of the festive season, so don’t miss the opportunity to add it to your list!

Thanks to Netgalley for providing me with an arc of this novella!

I went in to this book expecting a fun, cute and Christmas-y story, and that's exactly what I got! In this story we follow Brindle as she is coming home from the hospital with the knowledge that she doesn't have long left to live. On her way home she meets Hamon who is the driver of the car, she has hired to drive her home.
At first I was afraid that this was going to be a really cheesy romance story, and maybe it kind of is, but it just really worked for me! I enjoyed my time with this story so much, and the ending made it even better!

In English :
It's on NetGalley that I found this title which goes well with the period of the year where we are.

If at the beginning I thought that this book was a bit like "The Fault in Our Stars" by John Green, the end takes us away from it and we are more in fantasy.

I was persuaded to shed liters of tears but it's with a smile that I close this story.

The characters are nice. Brindle lugs around his oxygen tank but we don't pay attention. Hamon perfectly embodies the spirit of Christmas. Something we find less and less these days. I like his first name.

The pages scroll more or less quickly. I remind you that English is not my mother tongue. It's a short format so we don't have time to go into everything that could be.

Those who appreciate beautiful Christmas stories should be delighted.

Another author whom I didn't know but who has several titles to her credit. I'll take a closer look.

I was not prepared for the punch this short novella gave. Brindle is looking forward to being home for Christmas. She is suffering from a horrible pulmonary disease and being home is just where she wants to be for her last holiday. Little does she know there is so much more for her at home. This story took me by surprise. With Brindle's journey to her home, I was enthralled with how happy and warm her Christmas was turning out. With the help of her u-driver, she found peace, love and a delicious meal! How much better can life be? The spirit of Christmas runs through this short and you will enjoy the sweet melancholy this one brings. Narrated by the author, Linda Mooney, we get to enjoy the story as she has meant it to be told. Give it a try!

I was going to give a 3⭐️ until the end. I mean it’s a novella and I don’t mind cheesy but I have a hard time with over the top to go to be true story. Until the end. Then I was like wow ok... now it’s making sense, now I’m loving it and ok good job Linda. You got me :) thanks netgalley for the opportunity to read this lil story

ARC provided by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review**

This story read like a hallmark movie. It was a pleasant and short Christmas story. I was not a fan of the ending and some of the dialogue was weird. If you really like lifetime or hallmark style holiday movies then you would probably really enjoy this short and quick read.

This is the story of a Brindle's last Christmas due to a lethal lung disease. She goes home for Christmas and on her first night there meets a man. He tries to make it the last best Christmas he can for her. The story ends with a twist I did not see coming. I do not think I have ever listened to anything quite like it.

Linda Mooney did a nice job with the narration.

I received a copy of this audiobook at my request, and I have voluntarily left this review.

That certainly had a twist I didn't see coming. What started out as a sad story changed into something quite different. The characters were sweet and the story was quite enjoyable. It's a good short story. I got this book from NetGalley for an honest review

3.5 Stars. I was on the hunt for Christmas novellas and this hit the spot. I wasn't sure at first and almost DNF'd but the ending pulled it together. It takes a lot to surprise me but this one did.

Breath of Christmas was a great quick read by Linda Mooney. Brindle is going to be home for Christmas although there is no family to welcome her back. A stranger helps Brindle enjoy the holiday before she takes her last breath.

Oh man...this one is short and you kinda know where it's headed from the start. But I found myself tearing up at the end anyway. Just something very touching about this story that hit me in just the right way this morning. Not a new favorite but I could definitely see myself returning to this one.
